Gupta Store

We have been at D-13 in Swej Farm for a good number of years now. Gupta Store is just a local place near the Hanuman Temple in Sodala. Most people stop by after they visit the temple to pick up things for their kitchen. We keep basic groceries and household items. The shop has a big front window, but it gets covered with posters and dust sometimes. We have many bags of wheat and different types of dal stacked along the walls. The Jaipur heat can be tough, so we have a big cooler that we fill with water every morning. It makes the air a bit damp, but it’s better than the dry heat. We sell a lot of incense sticks and oil for lamps, especially on Tuesdays when the temple is crowded. It is a busy street, and parking can be a bit of a mess outside with all the scooters. We try to keep the front clear so people can walk in easily. My father started this business, and I took over later. Not much has changed, really. We still use the same old wooden counter. It has some scratches and marks from years of use, but it is solid. We don't do home delivery unless it's for someone very elderly who lives right next door. It’s just us here, making sure the neighborhood has what it needs for their daily cooking. The address is easy to find if you know where the temple is in Sodala.
