Gupta General Store

Our store is on Ajmer Road in the Sodala area of Jaipur. We are at Shop No 1, right near the Rathi Petrol Pump. Being on such a major road means there is always a lot of noise and traffic outside. People often stop by while they are getting fuel or just passing through on their way to work. We keep a variety of general items, mostly things that people need in a hurry. You’ll find things like cold drinks, snacks, and basic groceries on our shelves. The shop isn't very large, but we make use of every inch of space we have. I usually have to wipe down the counters several times a day because of the dust from the Ajmer Road traffic. It’s a busy life, and I’m usually on my feet most of the time. We don't do anything special for advertising; the location near the petrol pump helps people find us easily. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time parking because the road is so busy, but we manage to get the goods inside eventually. I’ve seen this area change a lot over the years, with more buildings coming up and the traffic getting heavier. It’s just me running things most days, so I stay pretty occupied with the customers and the stock. It’s a practical place for practical needs, and that’s how we like to keep it for the people in Sodala. I usually close up around nine.
