Grihasthi Sagar Producer Company Limited is out in the Jhunjhunu area, specifically around Anagasar and Abusar. We are basically a group of people from the local villages who decided to work together on the farming side of things. The address is actually a bit of a mouthful, linked to Gida Ram’s place, but everyone around here knows where it is. We deal with the crops that grow well in this part of Rajasthan. Some days we are just sitting around talking about the weather or the price of seeds. It is not a big operation with shiny machines, mostly just folks who know the land. We spend a lot of time in the fields and then come back to the office to handle the government forms and the selling part. The building is simple and doesn’t have much on the walls. We don't use much technology besides our phones for checking prices. It can get quiet out here, but when it’s harvest time, the whole place wakes up. We’ve got different families involved, and everyone brings something different to the table. It’s about making sure the small growers get a fair shake. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us sorting through bags or checking the storage. It’s a slow process building something like this, but we are sticking with it and seeing how it goes.
