Great Indian Carpets

Great Indian Carpets is located at A-72, right on the 200 Feet Bypassroad in Vaishali Nagar. It is a very busy spot because of the bypass, so there is a lot of truck noise and dust coming off the road all day long. Our building is basically a large warehouse where we store and show the carpets we have ready. In the Panchyawala area, things have grown a lot lately, but we have stayed in the same spot for a good while. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the height of the carpet stacks. Some of them go almost to the ceiling and have been there for months. We spend a lot of time unrolling these heavy rugs for people to look at and then rolling them back up again, which is a real workout for your back. The floor is just simple tile and the lighting is overhead fluorescent, nothing too fancy at all. We do not have a big marketing team; it is just us answering the phone and helping whoever walks through the front door. Sometimes the warehouse gets a bit cold in the winter, so we wrap ourselves in whatever is handy during the morning shift. We keep a ledger on a small wooden desk near the entrance to track everything. It is a straightforward business where we focus on the inventory we have on hand. Most of our day is spent moving stock.
