Goyal Kirana & General Store

Our shop is located right on Ghawas Road, just off Ajmer Road here in Jaipur. We are in the Jagdamba Nagar-D part of Hirapura. It’s a general store, so we try to keep a bit of everything on hand. You’ll find grains, spices, oils, and the usual household things people run out of in the middle of cooking. The building itself is pretty simple, nothing to look at really, but it stays cool enough in the summer. We started this because we live in the area and noticed people had to walk too far for basic items. Now, we are open most days from early morning until late evening. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit cluttered because the space isn't huge, but we know where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific brand of tea, we usually have it tucked away somewhere. Working here means talking to a lot of people every day, which is nice. Jaipur gets busy, and our street is no different, but we try to keep things moving quickly so nobody is waiting too long. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the shop and ourselves. It’s honest work and keeps us busy. People come by for their monthly rations or just a single matchbox. We treat everyone the same, whether they buy a lot or just a little bit of salt for their dinner tonight.
