Govind General Store

You can find Govind General Store over at B-3 in Kartarpura, specifically in the Madhav Nagar area of Jaipur. It’s a pretty decent spot and we’ve been operating out of this building for a long time. The shop is filled with all the general items you’d expect to find in a neighborhood store. We’ve got shelves full of shampoos, soaps, notebooks, and all the various spices used in a Rajasthani kitchen. Jaipur can get incredibly hot in the summer months, so we usually have a small fan running to keep the store somewhat comfortable for whoever walks in. We don't have any big corporate backing, it’s just a family-run kind of place where things move at a steady pace. Sometimes the kids from the local area stop by for candy on their way home, and that’s always a loud part of the day. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the stock and checking what needs to be ordered for the next week. The street outside B-3 is usually quite busy with people going about their chores. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the city, just a reliable one for the folks living in Madhav Nagar. It’s honest work and we like being part of the community here. There’s no need for anything fancy when a simple shop and a friendly nod do the job just as well for everyone involved in the neighborhood.
