Garg Provision & General Store

We are located at Vaishali Nagar, specifically at 63/64 Amrapali Marg. Garg Provision & General Store has been our workplace for a long time now. The shop is basically two units joined together, which gives us a bit more room for bags of rice and flour. Amrapali Marg is a busy road, so there is always someone coming in or going out. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and stacking the new arrivals. The smell of spices and pulses is quite strong inside. It’s a typical neighborhood store where you can find most household things. We don't have a lot of help, so it’s usually just us behind the counter. The floors are made of plain stone and they get dusty pretty fast with all the foot traffic. We have a small area in the back where we keep the bulkier items. Sometimes we have to help customers carry heavy bags to their scooters outside. It’s not a polished retail experience. It’s just a place to buy your groceries. We use a basic calculator for the bills and keep our change in a metal box. There is a small calendar on the wall that we forget to flip sometimes. We don’t do anything special to attract people; they just come because they live nearby. The shop is a bit dim inside, but we prefer it that way to keep the heat out during the afternoons. The front shutter is a bit heavy and creaks when we close it at night.
