Gangaur Besan Shop

You can find us over on Jhotwara Road, right by the Khandela House area, specifically at the shops numbered 15 to 18. Gangaur Besan Shop is basically exactly what the name says. We spend almost all our days around flour, so there is always a bit of a yellow dust in the air and on our clothes by the time we head home. It is a busy road outside, and the noise of the traffic never really stops from the time we open until we close up at night. We have a few stalls joined together here to give us enough room. It is not a supermarket or anything modern, just a regular local shop where we keep the big bags of gram flour stacked up high. The floor is concrete and we try to keep it clean, but with besan, it is a constant battle to stay ahead of the mess. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood who have been coming to this part of Jhotwara Road for many years. They know exactly where we are, tucked in right near Khandela House. We do not have a website or any fancy advertisements; usually, the smell of the fresh flour lets people know they are in the right place. Sometimes the deliveries get backed up because the road is so narrow for the bigger trucks, but we manage. My brother and I usually handle the counter. It is honest work and it keeps us busy.
