If you walk down Maniharon Ka Rasta in Tripolia Bazaar, you’ll find us at number 389. G L Jewellers has been in this part of the market for quite some time now. Tripolia Bazaar is always crowded, especially with people looking for traditional things, and our shop is right in the middle of all that noise and energy. We open up the shutters every morning and start setting out the pieces. It’s a small shop, but it’s full of stuff. We spend most of the day talking to folks who stop by, showing them what we have in the cases. Sometimes they want something specific, and other times they’re just looking around. The street outside is narrow and can be a bit of a mess with all the rickshaws and shoppers, but that’s just how it is here. We don't go in for big advertisements or fancy lighting. We just sit here on our stools and do the work. The dust from the road gets in sometimes, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass. It’s a family-run kind of feeling here. We know the other shopkeepers on the lane, and we often share tea while waiting for the next person to walk in. We just try to keep things honest and simple at G L Jewellers. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting, then a lot of talking when it gets busy.
