Shri Ram Polymers

The area around Tilak Nagar Road is always busy, mostly because of the Sabji Mandi nearby. You can hear the vegetable sellers shouting early in the morning when we are just opening up Shri Ram Polymers. We are located in Dayanand Nagar, specifically in the Badarna part. It’s not the cleanest part of town, with all the trucks and the dust from the road, but it works for what we do. Dealing with polymers is a dusty job anyway. We have a lot of heavy sacks stacked up in the corners. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but it holds the weight. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and talking to drivers who get lost trying to find the turn-off from the main road. We don't have a website or anything like that because we don't really see the point. People who need us usually just know where we are or they hear about us from someone else in the trade. My brother and I run the place. We don't wear suits; usually just old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. There’s a small desk in the corner where we keep the phone and the register. It’s a simple setup. We don't have air conditioning, so we just leave the big front door open to let the air in, even if it brings the dust too. It is just honest work that keeps us busy from morning until late at night.
