Shoes Laces

We are located at Number 309 in Lane-1 on Fashion Street. If you know Fashion Street, you know it’s a total maze of stalls and shops. Our place, Shoes Laces, is right in the thick of it. It’s always crowded and loud. We have to shout sometimes to be heard over the music from the other stalls. We don’t have a lot of room, so the shoes are hanging from the ceiling and piled up on the sides. It’s a bit of a squeeze. We get tourists and locals all day long. The energy is high, and it can be exhausting. I’ve worked here for a few years now. The shop is basically a stall with a roof. When it rains, we have to pull the plastic sheets down fast to keep the stock dry. It’s not a fancy corporate environment. It’s just street side commerce. We don’t have a return policy that’s written on a wall; we just talk it out with the customer. Most people come here looking for a bargain. We try to keep up with what's popular, but it moves fast. My hands are usually dirty from handling all the stock. We don’t have fancy uniforms. Just jeans and t-shirts. Fashion Street is a wild place to work, but we like it. You meet everyone here. We’re just one small shop among hundreds, doing what we can to sell some shoes. That’s our daily life.
