Fashion & Craft

We are based at A-6 in Lal Bahadur Nagar, right off Jln Marg. It’s a convenient spot because the main road is so close, but our street is actually quite tucked away. Fashion & Craft is basically a workshop where we spend our time surrounded by fabrics and tools. There are bits of thread all over the floor no matter how much we sweep. We started this because we liked making things with our hands. It's not a clean office job. Your fingers end up sore by the end of the week. We have a couple of old sewing machines that have been repaired so many times they barely look original anymore. The radio is usually playing some old songs in the background while we work. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small plate on the gate. Most of our clients have been coming to us for years. They know to come around the side door if the front one is locked. We keep a pot of plants near the window, but we often forget to water them. Our desks are covered in sketches and measurements written on the back of old envelopes. It’s a bit chaotic, but we manage to stay on top of things. We aren't interested in being a huge company. We just want to keep making our items and paying the bills. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We don't use fancy jargon or marketing talk here.
