This branch of our electrical business is located at 723 in Mahaveer Nagar, which is right near the Gopalpura Bypass in Jaipur. It is a different vibe than our other spots because the bypass is always humming with trucks and cars going by. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we are constantly wiping down the desks and the equipment. We do a lot of electrical work for the buildings around this part of the city. The office itself is pretty simple—just some metal cupboards for the files and a few heavy tables for the electrical components we are assembling or repairing. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch. We have a small tea break in the afternoon to get away from the noise of the bypass for a few minutes. Most of the people who work here have been doing electrical stuff for a long time, so we don't need much direction. We just know what needs to be done when a project comes in. It’s not a place where you’ll find fancy decorations. We just have the maps of the local power grids and a calendar on the wall. We stay busy with the day-to-day tasks and try to keep everything running smoothly without making any big claims about it. It is just plain, honest work.
