We have been operating out of this spot in Mahadev Nagar for a good while now. Most folks around Vaishali Nagar know the building even if they don't know exactly what we are doing inside every day. Jaipur gets incredibly hot, as everyone knows, so our mornings usually start with someone trying to get the old cooling units to stop rattling. We don't have those fancy glass walls you see in the newer parts of town. It’s a lot of concrete and practical furniture that has seen better days. The traffic out on the main road can be a real headache during rush hour, so most of us try to get in early before the sun really starts to bake the pavement. We aren't here to win any awards for how our office looks. It's mostly just a place where we keep our files and meet up before heading out to the sites. We drink a lot of tea from the stall just down the street and talk about the projects. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait it out while chatting. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. We’ve got a mix of young guys and some who have been here since the start. Everyone just does their bit without much fuss. If you come by, you'll probably see us buried under a pile of blueprints or arguing about where the truck is.
