Dilip Singh Kurka

I am located over on Tonk Road near the public school in Pratap Nagar. It’s a busy spot especially when the kids are coming out of school in the afternoon. My place is just a simple setup where I handle my daily business. I have lived in this area for a long time so I know most of the people walking by. It isn't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just me and a couple of helpers sometimes. We have a small sign outside so people can find us but most folks just know where Dilip Singh is. The room has a desk a couple of chairs for visitors and a lot of papers that I need to organize better. I spend a lot of time talking to people who drop in for advice or to get something sorted out. The tea stall across the road makes the best ginger chai and I usually have a couple of cups a day. The dust from Tonk Road gets into everything if I leave the door open too long. I keep a calendar on the wall to mark down what needs to be done. It’s a modest way to make a living but it keeps me connected to the community. I like being near the school because it makes the area feel lively. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. I just try to be fair with everyone and get the work done right.
