Design Core Consultant

We’re over at No-J/17 on Sahakar Marg in the Lal Kothi area of the city. Design Core Consultant is basically a small group of us sitting around desks covered in drawings and blueprints. It’s not a huge studio with fancy lights or expensive furniture. It’s just a comfortable space where we can think and get things done. We spend a lot of time on our computers or talking to builders on the phone. Sometimes the office gets a bit cluttered with samples of tiles or wood pieces, but that’s just how we work. Being in Lal Kothi is good because it’s a central spot and people can find us easily enough. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most of our work comes from people who know what we’ve done before. We like to keep things simple and direct with everyone who walks in. If a design isn't working right, we just start over until it makes sense on the page. It’s a lot of back and forth, really. Some days are long, especially when we are trying to meet a deadline, but we usually have some tea and keep going. We aren’t trying to be the biggest firm out there. We just want to do work that looks right and works for the people who actually live in the buildings. It’s a pretty basic way of running a business, but it suits us just fine here on Sahakar Marg. We like the neighborhood.
