Deepak Rawat

My name is Deepak Rawat and I work out of my place at Plot 5 in Marudhar Vihar. It’s over in the Khatipura area of Jaipur. If you know where the Bank of Baroda is, I’m right across from there. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood most days, which is nice for getting work done. I’ve lived in Jaipur all my life, so setting up here in Khatipura made the most sense. The office is basically a room I’ve set aside for my business. I don't have a big staff or anything, just me handling things as they come. People usually call before they come over, but sometimes neighbors just drop by. The landmark is easy since everyone knows the bank. I spend a lot of time on my computer or out on site visits around the city. The Marudhar Vihar area has grown quite a bit recently. I keep my tools and papers organized as best as I can, but it gets a bit messy when I'm busy. It’s a straightforward way to work. I don't see the point in having a fancy office in a mall when I can just work from here. The trees outside the window give a little shade during the summer months which is helpful. I started this business on my own and it’s been a learning process every single day. Khatipura has its own rhythm and I’ve grown quite fond of the morning routine here. My workspace is filled with books and old files.
