Deepak Kirana & Ganeral Store

Deepak Kirana & Ganeral Store is located right in the middle of the Kotputli Bazar in Gram Pragpura. It’s a busy area and there are shops all along the street. We try to keep our shelves stocked with the basics that everyone needs. You can find oil and flour and different kinds of soaps here. The store isn't very large so we have to be careful about how we stack the boxes. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have a lot of customers at once. People in Pragpura are usually in a hurry so we try to get them their items as fast as we can. We use a small notebook to keep track of what we need to buy from the wholesalers. The front of the shop is open to the street so we get a lot of noise from the traffic. It’s just me and my brother running the place most days. We take turns taking lunch in the back. The light inside is a bit dim but you can see well enough to find what you're looking for. We don't have any big advertisements or flashy lights. Just a simple sign with the name on it. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day but we are used to it. The market is where everything happens for the people living in this part of town.
