At 1014 Chandpole Bazar, inside the Agarwal Market, you’ll find us. Dangayach Tea Broker isn't a place with a lot of flash. It’s mostly about the smell of dry tea leaves and the sound of bags being moved around. I spend a lot of my day checking samples and talking to people on the phone. The market is always crowded, and getting a vehicle through the lanes of Chandpole is a real headache most mornings. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know the different grades and smells by heart now. The office is functional, with a few desks and plenty of tins for the samples. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but the ceiling fans keep the air moving enough. We don’t really bother with fancy signs or anything like that. People in the trade know where we are. Dealing with tea is a bit of an art, though I wouldn't call it that to anyone’s face. It’s just work. You have to have a good nose and a lot of patience. Sometimes a batch isn't what we expected, and we have to sort it out. It’s a lot of back and forth with suppliers and buyers. We just try to keep things moving and stay honest about what we're looking at. It's a busy life in a busy market, but it keeps us going and pays the bills.
