D H T C India Ltd is based right here at B-42 in Transport Nagar. If you walk around this area, you’ll see it’s always crowded with big trucks and people moving crates. Our office is nothing too special, just a place with some desks and a lot of logbooks where we keep track of things. We’ve been working out of this spot for a while now and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the dust. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers and making sure the paperwork for the loads is correct. It’s a lot of back-and-forth on the phone. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just do the work as it comes in. Sometimes the traffic in Transport Nagar is a real headache, and everything gets delayed, but that is just how it goes in this business. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just move goods from one city to another. People stop by the office to ask about rates or just to see when a truck is arriving. We usually have a pot of tea going for anyone who drops in. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We are just a group of people trying to keep things moving. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. We don’t really change much over the years, just keep doing the same job.
