Anarkali

Anarkali is situated at No. 1885 on the 2nd floor, right across from Sunny Arcade on Telipara Choura Rasta. It’s a lively intersection with a lot of movement. Getting up to the second floor takes a minute, but once you’re here, it’s our own little world. We’ve been at this address for a while. The building is older, but it has some character to it. We focus on clothing, and the name Anarkali is something we’ve carried with us for years. It’s not a massive operation. We have a few rooms filled with fabric rolls and half-finished pieces. Some days it feels like there isn't enough space for everything, but we manage to stay organized enough to get the jobs done. The staff is local, and we’ve all known each other for quite some time. We don't have fancy office chairs or a special break room. We just sit where we can and have our tea together. The view from the window shows the Choura Rasta traffic, which is always a bit chaotic and loud. It's a real place with real people working. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make clothes and try to make sure they look decent before they leave. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually busy from morning until evening. We like the neighborhood, even with all the noise.
