Even though the name mentions Chennai, we are actually based here in Malviya Nagar, Siddharth Nagar at E 112. It’s a bit of a distance from the south, but the spices and products we deal with bring that flavor here. The warehouse space isn't huge, but it’s packed. You can usually smell the pepper or the turmeric before you even get through the door. It’s a strong scent that stays on your clothes all day. We spend a lot of time checking the bags and making sure nothing is getting damp. The Delhi weather can be tricky for agro products, so we have to be careful. It’s a hands-on job. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone writing fancy slogans. It’s just us moving sacks around and weighing things. The floor is concrete and often has a bit of spice dust on it. We work with a lot of local vendors who come and go in their small trucks. The lane gets blocked sometimes, which causes a bit of shouting, but it’s all part of the daily grind. We like it here in Siddharth Nagar. It’s our base, and it’s where we do the real work of sorting and distributing everything we get. Every evening we lock up the heavy metal doors and hope the traffic isn't too bad on the way home.
