About Capital Tea Emporium – Food & Beverages in Jaipur
My grandfather started this place a long time ago in Nehru Bazar at number 159. We mostly just sell different types of loose tea leaves and some packaged ones too. It gets pretty crowded here in the mornings because everyone wants their tea stock before the other shops open fully. We don't have fancy seating or anything like that. It's just a counter and shelves full of sacks. People come by, smell the leaves, and tell us how much they need. I spent most of my childhood playing around these crates and smelling the different blends. Now I run it with my younger brother who handles the accounting while I talk to the suppliers. We know most of the regular customers by name because they’ve been coming here for decades. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the whole street, which is a bit of a headache for the neighbors, but that's just how it is in this part of town. We try to keep the same quality that my family always insisted on since the beginning. It's not a complicated business at all. We just weigh the tea, wrap it in paper or plastic bags, and say hello to the people passing by. If you walk down the main lane of the bazar, you’ll find us easily enough. The smell of the raw tea is quite strong once you get close to our door. We've got the black CTC tea most people use for their daily chai and some greener varieties if that's what you like.
