Cafe Coffee Day

Up here in Amer, things are a bit different because of the fort and all the tourists visiting. This Cafe Coffee Day gets a lot of people who are very tired from walking around the hills and the stone paths. They come in looking sweaty and just want to sit in the cool air for a while to recover. We spend most of the day making cold drinks because it gets so hot outside during the afternoon. The dust from the road and the nearby hills comes in every time the door opens, so we are constantly wiping the counters and the tables. We see people from all over the world here. Sometimes we cannot understand what they are asking for, but we figure it out with some pointing and nodding at the menu. It is a small shop, so it feels crowded very quickly when a large family comes in. We do not have a lot of storage space in the back, so we have to be careful with how we stack our supplies. The monkeys outside are a real problem sometimes; they try to grab food if people sit too close to the door. We have to keep an eye out and warn everyone. Working here is okay, but the commute up the hill every morning can be a bit much for us. We do not have time to look at the view because we are busy cleaning the machines. It is a busy little spot.
