Cafe Coffee Day

Khasa Kothi Circle is one of those places that is always moving with cars and bikes. Our Cafe Coffee Day is right there on the corner, so we get to see all the traffic jams and people rushing by every day. It is a round building area, and sometimes people get confused about how to actually get into our small parking space. We spend a lot of time behind the counter making coffee and heating up food. The steam wand makes a loud hissing noise that you get used to after working here for a week. We have these big glass windows, so we watch the rain or the heat outside while we are working in the air conditioning. People come here to have business meetings or just to kill time before they have to catch a train or a bus nearby. We see a lot of people carrying heavy suitcases since the station is not too far away. We have to keep the tables clean because people leave crumbs and sugar packets everywhere when they leave. Sometimes we run out of milk or a specific type of coffee bean, and we have to tell the customers, which is never a fun conversation. The staff gets along okay, and we share jokes when the shop is slow. We just make the drinks the way the machines tell us to. The chairs are getting a bit worn out from use, but they work.
