If you go down to Koondi in the Anagpur area of Hardoi, you'll find us. We work out of Nanhe’s place. It’s a small operation where a bunch of us farmers decided to team up. Dealing with the market alone is tough, so we figured we’d do better as a group. We don't have a big staff or anyone in fancy clothes. Most of us have been working these fields since we were kids. In Koondi, life moves at its own pace. We spend our days checking on the crops and talking about the rain or the lack of it. Sometimes the paperwork for the company gets confusing, but we manage to get it filed eventually. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of. You can usually find someone around the village who can point you to our spot. We handle different types of produce depending on the season. There’s no big warehouse, just a few spots where we gather our things. It’s dusty and hot during the summer, but we keep at it. We’re just a bunch of neighbors in Hardoi trying to make the farming business work a little better for the people actually doing the digging. It’s not much, but it’s our own thing. We just take it one day at a time and hope for the best.
