Our place is at 109, Pink City Towers, right on Jhotwara Road in Jaipur. If you’ve ever been stuck in the traffic around there, you know how busy it gets. Bmk Plant Tissue Culture Private Limited is where we spend our days dealing with tiny plants and lab equipment. It’s kind of strange because outside it’s all noise and city life, but inside the lab at D-202, it has to be really quiet and clean. We work with tissue culture, which basically means we grow plants from very small pieces in a controlled way. It’s a lot of patience. You have to watch the jars and make sure nothing gets contaminated. My hands are usually busy with tweezers or labels most of the morning. We don’t have some big marketing team or anything; it’s just the technicians and a few office people making sure the plants are healthy. Sometimes we stay late because the work doesn't really stop just because the sun goes down. The building itself is one of those typical Jaipur business towers, and we have been here for a while now. We provide these young plants to people who need them for farming or nurseries. It is technical work, but we talk about it like regular people do. We aren't trying to change the whole world; we are just trying to grow good, strong plants in our little corner of the Pink City. It's a lot of staring at glass bottles and hoping the roots take hold like they are supposed to.
