Bani Thani Boutique

We set up Bani Thani Boutique here at No. 381/2 on Parvati Marg. Raja Park is a busy place, but our little corner stays relatively steady. We spend most of our time among rolls of fabric and measuring tapes. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We are usually here from mid-morning until late evening, depending on how much work is left to finish. The shop has a big window where the light comes in, which is good for seeing the colors of the thread clearly. Sometimes the street noise gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a few years. We handle all sorts of clothes, mostly for women who live nearby or are just passing through the park area. It’s not a corporate office; it’s just a room with some machines and a lot of finished suits hanging on the racks. We keep a notebook to track everything, but mostly we remember our regulars by face. The stairs up to the shop are a bit narrow, but everyone finds their way. We don't really go for big displays. Usually, there’s just a mannequin or two near the entrance. It’s a practical place where we work hard and hope people like what they get. Living and working in Raja Park means we see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice for a local business like ours. We always have a kettle ready for a quick cup of tea when the afternoon slump hits.
