Shekhawat Stone Exports

We are located at No. 115 on the first floor of City Plaza. It’s the same building where the Inox Cinema is, right in Banipark. It’s a bit of a strange mix, having a stone export business in the same place people come to watch movies, but it works out fine. We get the air conditioning from the mall area, which is a lifesaver in the summer. Our office is a bit cramped because we keep a lot of stone samples around—granite, marble, and other types of slabs that we show to people. It’s not a fancy showroom, just a working office where we handle the export documents and talk to the quarries. You can often hear the faint sound of movie trailers if you stand near the door. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking at shipping schedules. We have to be very careful with the weights and the container sizes, so there’s a lot of calculating involved. The staff here has been together for a bit, so we know how each other works. We grab coffee from the stalls downstairs and sometimes catch a late show if we finish work early, though that’s rare. It’s a busy spot in Banipark, and we like being in the middle of it all. It’s a practical place for a practical business.
