Avinash Rathi

Avinash Rathi’s office is in Shivaji Apartment, right at G-1 in Civil Lines, Shivaji Nagar. It’s a ground-floor spot, which makes it easy to get in and out without dealing with stairs or elevators. Being in Civil Lines, it’s usually a bit quieter than the main markets, though there’s still plenty of activity around. We’ve been set up here for some time now. The space inside isn’t huge, but it fits the desks and files we need for our daily work. Most of the day is spent at the computer or handling phone calls. Sometimes the neighbors from the other apartments pop in to say hello. It’s a pretty standard professional environment, nothing too elaborate. We keep a regular schedule, starting early and wrapping up by evening. The walls are a bit plain, and we probably should have painted them last year, but we’ve been busy. It feels more like a home office in some ways because of the building type. There is a lot of paperwork to go through most weeks. We just focus on getting through the tasks on our list. It’s a practical location for what we do, and being on the ground floor is definitely a plus when we have deliveries coming in or out. The front door sticks a little when it's humid outside, but you get used to it. We just keep our heads down and get the tasks done one by one without making a fuss.
