Tripoliya Bazar is one of the busiest parts of the old city and that is exactly where we are. The business is based in Pilli Haveli which is an old building with a lot of history in its walls. You can see the yellow color of the place from a distance. The streets outside are very narrow and filled with people, cows, and scooters all trying to move at the same time. Inside the haveli, the air feels a bit cooler because of the thick stone walls. We have a space where we handle our daily work. It is often quite loud because of the market right outside the door. There are merchants selling all kinds of things just steps away. We deal with a lot of local trade and people who have been coming to this bazar for generations. The stairs in the building are steep and worn down from so many years of use. It feels very different from the newer parts of Jaipur. We spend our time managing the inventory and talking to the other shopkeepers in the area. There is always something happening in the bazar, whether it is a festival or just the usual daily rush. It is a cramped space but it has a lot of character and we have grown used to the constant hum of the city. We often have to walk a bit to get to the main road because cars can't fit through here.
