Arihant Departmental Store

I have been running Arihant Departmental Store for quite a few years now. The shop is located on New Sanganer Road in the Sodala area of Jaipur. Specifically, we are in Devi Nagar, which is a pretty active neighborhood. Every morning, I come here and pull up the metal shutters to start the day. The shop is filled with all sorts of things that people need for their homes. I have shelves full of different pulses, spices, flour, and all the usual cleaning supplies like soaps and detergents. It is not a huge supermarket, but we try to keep a bit of everything so people don't have to go far. The traffic on New Sanganer Road is always moving, so it gets a bit noisy during the day. I usually spend my time sitting at the counter or checking the boxes in the back. Jaipur gets very hot in the summer, and the fan in the shop doesn't always help much. Most of my customers are people who live in the nearby houses. They come in for small things they forgot to buy elsewhere. It is a very simple way of working. I don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. I just know my regulars and what they like to buy. Sometimes we run out of things when the delivery is late, but that's just part of the business. I like being a part of this community in Devi Nagar and talking to everyone who stops by.
