Appolo Tea Company

We have been running Appolo Tea Company out of Shop No-39 in Chandpole Bazar for quite a while now. If you know the bazar, you know it is always crowded and there is a lot of noise from the shoppers and the rickshaws. Our shop is just one of many in the row but we have our own way of doing things. We mostly deal with different kinds of tea leaves that come in big sacks. It’s a small space, so we have to stack everything carefully up to the ceiling sometimes. There is no air conditioning here, just a couple of old fans that hum all day long. We spend most of our time weighing out tea for people who come in. Some people have been buying from us since my father was running the place. We don't really do any big advertising or anything like that. Most folks just find us by walking through the market. The floor is a bit uneven and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't bother us much. We keep the tea dry and that is what matters. In the evenings, the market gets even busier and it’s hard to move around, but that is just how Chandpole Bazar is. It's a simple life selling tea in the middle of all that chaos. We stay open until the market starts to quiet down, which is usually quite late at night.
