If you come down to Sanganer and look for Bohron Ka Mohalla, you’ll find us at 5/120 Radha Ballabh Marg. This is where Anjani Fabrics happens. Sanganer has a long history with cloth, and we are just a small part of that tradition. The air here usually smells like dyes and damp fabric. We aren't a big factory with machines running 24/7. It’s more about the hands-on work. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and checking the weave. Sometimes the colors don’t come out exactly how we thought, so we have to try again. That's the way it is with this kind of work. It’s not always perfect. The shop is often cluttered with rolls of fabric and scraps on the floor. We don't mind the mess much; it shows we're busy. People around here know us as the place that’s always got something drying outside. We talk to the other shop owners on the street every morning. It feels like a community. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation. We just like making fabric that people can actually use. It’s simple work, but it keeps us going. We’ve been on this street for years and don’t plan on moving. It's a bit dusty and the fans are noisy, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We just keep making what we can and hope for the best.
