We’ve been here at Gandhi Nagar Hanuman Nagar 91 for a good while now. It’s a busy spot and the shop is usually full of iron rods and welding machines. Sometimes the noise from the grinders gets pretty loud but that’s just how things go when you’re working with metal all day. People from around the neighborhood stop by when they need a gate fixed or some frame work done for their houses. The floor is usually covered in dust and metal scraps but we try to keep it organized enough to get the jobs finished. Most of the time it’s just the smell of burnt metal and the sound of the hammer hitting something heavy. We don’t have a big office or anything fancy like that. There is just a small bench where people sit and wait while we finish up a quick weld. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when the machines are all running at once. Gandhi Nagar is a tight area so everyone knows where we are. We just keep our heads down and handle whatever work comes through the door. It might be a small window grill or a larger frame, but the process stays the same. We use the tools we have and try to get things leveled right. It is honest work and it keeps the day moving along. That’s pretty much the whole story of this place.
