Our small business is located at number 28 in Mohan Nager, which is part of the Purani Basti area near Mount Road. If you are familiar with the busy streets of Chandpole Bazar, you can imagine what it is like around here. We have been in this same spot for generations, and not much has changed in the way we do things. The shop is quite small and every inch of wall space is used to store our goods. It can be a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at the same time. We don't have a modern computer system or a fancy website; we still use hand-written ledgers to keep track of our sales. It is usually a family member behind the counter, and we know most of our customers by their first names because they have been coming here for years. The street outside is always full of life, with people walking by and the sound of the bazaar all around us. We don't try to use any marketing tricks or promotional language to get people in. We just open the shutters every morning and wait for our regulars to stop by. It is honest work and we take pride in being a part of this old neighborhood. We have seen the city grow and change, but our little corner in Purani Basti remains pretty much the same. We just keep doing what we know how to do best.
