Agarwal Bhawari Lal

Agarwal Bhawari Lal is located at 2787 Chandpole Bazar, specifically in the area known as Purani Basti Bagaru Walon Ka Rasta. This is the very old part of the city where the lanes are so narrow you can barely fit a bike through some of them. Our shop is surrounded by neighbors who have been here for generations. The building is old, with high ceilings and narrow stairs that lead to storage areas filled with stock. We deal in traditional goods, and the place usually smells like a mix of old paper and the street food being cooked nearby. It is a very busy part of the bazar, so there is always someone knocking on the door or asking for directions. We spend our days sitting on the floor or on low stools, talking to customers and showing them what we have in stock. There is no air conditioning here, just a few ceiling fans that hum all day long. The paperwork is done by hand in large ledgers that we keep on a wooden desk. It is a way of doing business that hasn't changed much over the years. We know the other shopkeepers on the lane, and we often share tea while waiting for the afternoon rush. It is a crowded, noisy, and very real part of Jaipur, and we have been part of this street for a long time now.
