Advocate Surendra Kumar Chhajer

Working out of C-31-B near the Jaipur G P O is quite a busy experience. The office here at Jagan Path Chomu House is usually full of files and old folders piled up on the desks. It isn't a very large space, but it serves the purpose for what we do every day. Being an advocate means a lot of reading and writing, so there are always papers moving around. Sometimes the breeze from the window blows things off the table if we aren't careful. The location is handy because of the post office being so close, which helps when things need to be sent out. We see a lot of different people coming through the door throughout the week. Chomu House has its own rhythm, and we have become part of it over the years. The chairs are a bit worn out, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. There is a tea stall nearby that makes a good cup, and that helps on the long afternoons when the work piles up. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us trying to keep everything organized. It gets a bit noisy outside with the traffic, but inside we just focus on the documents. It’s a plain, simple office without any big decorations or fancy furniture.
