Advocate Parmanand Sharma

The office is at Plot No 345 in Sri Gopal Nagar. It’s tucked away near the Gopalpura Bypass. If you’re coming from the main road, you have to look for the turn carefully. I spend a lot of my time here reading through thick files and writing out notes for court. Advocate Parmanand Sharma isn’t a big corporate firm; it’s just me and a couple of assistants trying to keep up with the legal dates. There are books everywhere, mostly old law volumes that smell like paper and dust. Clients come in with all sorts of worries, mostly about property or family matters, and we just sit at the big wooden table and talk it through. Sometimes the fans are humming and we have to speak up to be heard. It’s a busy life, especially when the court sessions are active. I usually start early because the bypass gets congested, and I like to have a bit of quiet time before the phone starts ringing. We don't do anything flashy. It's just about knowing the rules and trying to help people navigate them. Most days involve a lot of walking back and forth between the car and the court buildings. When I'm back at the office in Sri Gopal Nagar, I just want to finish the paperwork so I can go home and see my family.
