Nandpur Fabrication

Our workshop, Nandpur Fabrication, is located right on National High-1 in Nandpur. We are along the Grand Trunk Road, which stays busy with trucks and cars all day and night. Being near the Grain Market in Sahnewal means there is always a lot of heavy vehicle movement around us. This place is loud and it’s definitely not a clean environment. We have pieces of iron and steel scattered around, and the smell of burnt metal is always in the air. We spend our hours welding, cutting, and grinding. The sparks fly everywhere, so we always have our heavy boots and masks on. It’s hard work and our hands are usually covered in grease or black dust by noon. We use big machines that make a lot of noise, so you have to shout sometimes to be heard. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains that won't ever come out. We don’t have an office really, just a desk in the corner with some papers and old tools. Outside, the highway traffic hums constantly. We work on all sorts of fabrication jobs that come our way from the local area or from the people passing through on the GT Road. It gets hot in the shed during the summer months, but we just keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze we can. It’s just us, the metal, and the machines every single day of the week. That is how we spend our time.
