A.R.V. Hotels Private Limited is right at Russel Chowk in Napier Town, address 1870. Jabalpur is a big place, but this corner is where we spend all our time. We have been operating this hotel for quite a bit. It’s a lot of work, honestly. Every morning starts with checking who is coming in and who is leaving. We don't have a big office with fancy chairs. We usually just sit at the front desk or in the small back room handling the accounts. The traffic around Russel Chowk can get really loud, especially with all the horns and the people moving about. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the phone ring. We aren't a big chain, so we do most of the heavy lifting ourselves. If a bulb goes out or the floor needs a good scrub, we just get to it. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just offer rooms to people who need them for a night or two. The building has its quirks, like the stairs being a bit narrow, but it’s home to us. We’ve seen a lot of people come through those doors over the years. Some are regulars and some we never see again. That’s just how the hotel business works in a place like this. We just keep going and hope the fans keep spinning through the summer heat. It is a basic living but it is ours.
