Hotel Rishi Regency

Hotel Rishi Regency is located right across from the State Bank of India here in Civil Lines. It’s a good spot because everything is close by, and most people know the bank. We’ve been running this place for a long time now. It’s mostly business people who stay with us because of the government offices and banks around. We don't have those fancy lobbies with big chandeliers or marble floors. We just have some sturdy chairs and a desk where we check people in. The bank across the street is always busy during the day, so there’s always something to look at out the window if you're waiting. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with scooters and cars. We try to keep the rooms tidy and quiet so people can rest. My brother handles the accounts and I look after the guests. We have a few guys who help with the cleaning and they’ve been with us since the beginning. They know how we like things done. We serve tea and some basic breakfast if you ask for it. It’s not a five-star place, but it’s comfortable enough if you need a place to sleep in this part of town. The plumbing is a bit old, so you have to let the water run for a minute to get it hot. We tell everyone that when they check in so they don't get a surprise. We’re just regular people running a regular hotel.
