A R M Architects Planners

Our office is up on the fourth floor, room 411, inside Shagun Arcade. If you know the U Turn shop, we are right above that—actually twice over if you look at the address on the card. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. A R M Architects Planners is where we spend most of our daylight hours. We have tables covered in drawings and a few computers that are always running loud fans. Architecture is mostly just figuring out how things fit together without falling down. We spend a lot of time arguing over where a wall should go or how to save space. It’s not like the movies where everything is clean and white; our desks are usually a mess of pens and coffee mugs. We’ve been at Shagun Arcade for a while and the location is handy because everything is close by. We do planning too, which means a lot of looking at maps and local rules. Sometimes we get stuck on a design for days, but eventually, it works out. It's just a small group of us here. We don't have a receptionist, so if the door is shut, you just have to knock. We try to keep things simple and practical. People come to us when they need a house or a shop drawn up properly. It’s hard work, but we like seeing things actually get built. We make sure the bathroom is in the right place and the roof doesn't leak. If you need someone to look at a plot of land, we can usually make time.
