The Friends Salon

The Friends Salon is located on Saket Nagar Road in the Shree Nagar Main area of Indore. People usually know the spot as Shree Nagar Kankad. We are just a small group of guys who work here. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside. It’s just a door on the busy road with a small sign. Inside, we have our stations set up with mirrors and chairs. We chose the name because we wanted it to feel like a place where friends could just hang out while getting their hair done. It’s often loud because of the motorcycles and cars passing by outside on Saket Nagar Road. We just keep the fan going and talk over the noise. We do regular haircuts for men and kids. We don't have any of those fancy spa treatments or expensive oils. We just use what works. The shop is often full of talk and laughter. We know most of the people who live in Shree Nagar. They stop by even if they don't need a haircut, just to say hello. We keep our tools clean and our scissors sharp. The floor gets covered in hair quickly, so we have a broom leaning in the corner. We start early in the day and don't head home until late. It’s a busy life but it’s good to be part of the community here in Indore. We just do honest work for the local people.
