You can find us at Street No 54 in Vijay Nagar, right near where the Madhur Courier office is. It’s a handy landmark because people are always coming and going from there. Our shop is just a small space tucked in among the others. Indore has changed a lot, especially this part of Vijay Nagar, but our daily routine stays pretty much the same. We open up, check the scissors, and wait for the first person to walk through the door. Usually, it's someone who works nearby or a regular who lives just down the street. The floor gets covered in hair pretty quickly, so we are always grabbing the broom. We keep a few old magazines on the table, though most people just look at their phones while they wait. The chairs are comfortable enough, even if the upholstery is starting to wear thin at the corners. It’s a simple setup. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather or how the roads are getting more crowded. The sink sometimes takes a minute to drain, and we’ve got a specific way of turning the tap so it doesn’t spray everywhere. It isn't a quiet place, especially with the street noise and the hum of the city, but it feels right to us. We’ve been part of this street for a bit, and we know most of the faces that pass by.
