Shree Ganesh Hair Salon

Our shop is located at number 5 on New Dewas Road in the Badi Bhamori area. We are very close to the pulliya, which is the main landmark people use to find us here in Indore. It’s a noisy spot because of all the trucks and cars going over the bridge, but we are used to the sound by now. Shree Ganesh Hair Salon has been around for a while. It is just a small room with mirrors on both sides and a few chairs for the customers. We do not have a big team, just a couple of us who know how to handle the scissors and the razors. In the mornings, I usually come in, sweep the floor, and light a bit of incense before the first person walks in. Most of the people who come here live in the nearby lanes or work in the small shops around Badi Bhamori. We don’t use any of those expensive products you see in advertisements. We just use what works and keep our prices where local people can afford them. Sometimes when it is raining hard, the water collects near the pulliya and things slow down, but usually, there is a steady stream of people. We keep a few old magazines around for those waiting, but most people just look at their phones these days. It is an honest way to make a living and we are happy to be part of the community here.
