Sahni Trading Co. has been over here at No. 13, South Haathipala for a while now. If you know Jawahar Marg, you know how loud it gets with all the trucks and bikes zooming past. Our place isn't anything special to look at, just a regular shop floor with lots of items stacked up wherever we can find space for them. Most days start early, around nine or so, when we roll up the heavy shutters. It’s usually just us handling things, making sure orders get noted down right in the ledger. We deal with all sorts of people, some regulars who’ve been coming for years and others who are just passing through for a one-time thing. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes the small office feel a bit stuffy, so we keep the old fans going on full blast. It’s hard work, moving stuff around and keeping track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. We don’t have any fancy displays or expensive furniture. It’s more about just getting the job done and making sure the inventory is where it’s supposed to be when someone asks for it. If you’re looking for us, look for the faded sign near the corner. The address is easy to find if you avoid the worst traffic jams during the lunch hour. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but we’re still right here in the same spot.
