Roop Shri Hair Salon

Our shop is at 18, Prince Yashwant Road, right in the heart of the Rajwada area in Indore. If you know where Gandhi Bhawan is, we are quite close to that. It’s a busy part of town, so there’s always something happening outside the door. I start the day by setting up the towels and making sure the razors are ready. The salon isn't fancy, but it gets the job done. We have these old-fashioned chairs that are actually quite comfortable once you sit down. People walking by often peek in to see if the wait is long. Indore gets quite hot, so we keep the fans going all day. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the door wider to let the breeze in. It’s mostly locals who stop by, people who have lived in Rajwada for years. We talk about the local news or the price of vegetables while I work. I’ve been doing this for a while now and my hands just know what to do. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we’re always sweeping. It’s a small space, but we make it work. Usually, we have a few newspapers lying around for people to read. It’s just Roop Shri Hair Salon, nothing more and nothing less. We are just a regular shop on a busy street trying to do honest work every day.
