Milar Beauty Parlour

Milar Beauty Parlour is over at Shop No 9 in Anjani Nagar, which is in the Kalani Nagar area of Indore. We are right across from the Indore Cloth Bank, so that’s usually how people find us if they haven’t been here before. The shop is small but we keep it tidy. We mostly do stuff like facials, waxing, and hair cutting for the ladies in the neighborhood. It’s a quiet street for the most part, except for when the Cloth Bank has a lot of people visiting. We have a couple of chairs and a small waiting area with some old newspapers. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use hand fans, but that’s just life in Indore. We don't use any of those expensive machines, just our hands and some basic tools that we’ve used for a long time. It feels more like a home than a shop sometimes because the customers are also our neighbors. We spend a lot of time talking about family and what is happening in the market while we work. It’s a nice way to spend the day. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know the work well. If you come by in the morning, it’s usually peaceful, but the evenings are a different story. We just keep going until the work is done.
