Milans Salon

Being located right near Ganesh Vidhya Mandir School means we see a lot of life passing by. This shop at 133 Palsikak Colony has been our spot for quite some time. In the mornings, you can hear the school bells and the kids shouting, which usually tells us it's time to get to work. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have a few mirrors that we try to keep clean, though fingerprints always seem to find their way back on them. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, and we spend a lot of time with the broom in hand. Our regular customers are mostly people living right here in the colony. They come in for a shave or a quick cut and usually end up staying longer than they need to just to chat. We don’t have those fancy spinning chairs or big televisions. It’s just us, some scissors, and a few old combs. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open the door wide to get some light in from the street. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but the ceiling fan does what it can. People know where to find us if they need a tidy up. It’s a quiet life here in Indore, just doing what we know how to do without any extra drama or complicated stuff.
